Role: Treasurer


Treasurer

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain all records of the organization, including financial records
  • Manage all financial transactions of the organization; banking, cheque issuance, etc
  • Receive invoices from Sports groups designated treasurers and issue cheques for payment/reimbursement
  • Advise Sports groups of shadow balances 
  • Compile annual financial statements to be presented at the AGM
  • Prepare and submit Society Annual Return form 
  • Together with the President, ensure compliance with Alberta Societies Act and AGLC Guidelines
  • Attend SoCal Board meetings (usually once every 3 months).
